Dr. Deen has been in clinical practice for over 15 years. In addition to private practice, she served on faculty at UCSF and OHSU.

Education
Dr. Deen graduated with high honors in Psychology from Princeton University. She then completed a dual MD/MPH program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she earned a distinction in research.

Dr. Deen completed her Psychiatry Residency at Columbia University. She then completed a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at The University of California, San Francisco.

Psychoanalytic and Psychedelic Training
Dr. Deen completed Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center . She completed Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Training at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
Publications
Dr. Deen has published several academic papers in the fields of psychiatry and neurology. She has written for the Huffington Post and American Psychiatric Association. She also wrote a book chapter on using mindfulness-based therapy to treat depression. She has presented at national and international conferences.

While Dr. Deen sees a variety of patients, areas of focus include physicians and other healthcare workers, high-stress professionals, spiritual seekers, and creatives.
